Eid holiday time is over, tomorrow's Monday that means it's time to continue activities as usual. But not for Amel. My sister who is now in high school still have time 1 day off longer given by the her school. So she had to go to school again the next day, Tuesday.
Not unexpectedly, suddenly appeared an idea to go to the Museum Angkut, which sometime ago we often talked to go there with my family. But because the busyness of each, there is rarely a time for family time. Since there is a holiday on Monday, hopes ticket prices could be cheaper because weekdays not including weekends and also visitors who come not too crowded.
The tourist industry in Malang has grown rapidly over the
years, especially in Batu area. Thanks to Jawa Timur Park Group who has
opened Jawa Timur Park 1 and 2, Batu Night Spectacular, Batu Secret
Zoo + Museum Satwa, Eco Green Park and now the latest is Museum Angkut
& Movie Star Studio which still in soft opening stage.
It was at 12 noon, but the queue in front of the ticket counter would already queued like waiting groceries. Very long like a snake, especially as the weather is super hot. Just waiting for the time to be snake crisps. Do not imagined.
Suddenly appeared a little crazy idea. Slowly I tried to move forward with difficulty approaching the queue at the ticket counter. It turns out that it just open 2 counter, even though there are 3 counters. Whether it is lucky or just a coincidence, suddenly counter number 3 opened when I'm standing right in front of the counter number 3. The ticket sellers immediately asked "How many ticket would you buy?" Yes who else if not me who is being questioned. Yes I was a buyer number 1 in the counter 3 without having to stand in line like a snake. HOKI!!
Wait, there is forgetfulness, what is it? Hmmm....

A lot of those vehicle were brought directly from their home countries such as Germany, USA, Italy, UK, etc. It's the first and largest transportation museum in Indonesia (even in South East Asia if I'm not mistaken). I love how they creatively arranged the vehicles based on particular theme in each zone. More vehicles will soon complement this museum including a Boeing 737 aircraft, trains and ships.

Pasar Apung (Floating Market) Zone
Before leaving the museum, I spent sometime in Pasar Apung area. There are plenty of stalls selling traditional food. Me love! I went crazy to taste some of the food which are hard to find nowadays. Other than food, there are also souvenir, toy, clothes and etc. I think the prices are very reasonable considering it's a touristy spot. Oh! and try not to miss the sampan ride (traditional small boat) around Pasar Apung which cost only IDR 10.000 per person. All in all it was a really fun day in Museum Angkut. Glad to find another place where people not only being entertained but also learning something new and enjoying the beautiful scenery around Batu area.
